Job Description

SeaCast operates full-service investment casting foundries specializing in precision investment casting. SeaCast was established in 1985 and remains a privately held company based in Marysville, WA. We have over 800 employees (and growing) across our locations in Marysville, Arlington, Seattle, Montana and Mexico, with continued growth anticipated.

This individual will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for various engineering activities related to casting process development. Specific activities include:

Essentials:

  • Responsible for design, implementation, and management of new product' development
  • Ability to take customer needs and expectations and merge those with design knowledge
  • Possesses strong dimensional abilities (measure, analyze, implement)
  • Ability to analyzed final product for quality to ensure it meets all user and design specifications
  • Experienced with steel/superalloy investment castings
  • Experienced with gating
  • Strong SolidWorks knowledge
  • Familiar with GD&T
  • Knowledgeable with Manufacturing Process Implementations
  • Development and maintenance of Technique Sheets
  • Responsible for RCA’s for Non-Conformances, internally and externally
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong organization, communication, leadership skills and analytical decision making
  • Additional experience in wax tooling, fixture design, and casting simulation
  • Familiar with inspection equipment (CMM, FARO, Romer, etc.)
  • Experienced in Process control and Project management

 

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical background in investment castings, ideally in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on individual that is process driven and will be proactive in identifying and solving problems. They must have the ability to walk through the manufacturing process flow to update and/or improve the process in production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Extensive experience in the field is necessary.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering in an Aerospace, Metals or related manufacturing company.
