This job was posted by https://idahoworks.gov : For more information, please see: https://idahoworks.gov/ada/r/jobs/1368313 HANDRAIL SAWYER FABRICATORS:Growing company looking for local talent: best handrail and stair fabricators in the Treasure Valley, Fabricator of light structural steel, stairs, railings, and miscellaneous architectural metals is offering a shop position for a dependable individual experienced in blueprint reading, layout-fitting, finishing, and welding. This position is in our Miscellaneous structural shop.Essential Responsibilities:- Fabricate handrail and stairs accurately from drawing / measurements with little to no supervision.- Reads or listens to instructions.- Welding all handrail components together accurately per each design.- Examines prints or plans Measures materials.- Uses appropriate welding methods to attach pieces of materials to build or fabricate finished products or parts.- He/she performs welds that are appropriate and acceptable for the products fabricated.Additional Responsibilities:- Accurately cut material by using a band saw- Properly and safely use a grinder / cut off wheel- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work environment.- Occasional use of forklift.- Follow all safety procedures set by the Shop Manager- Attention to detail is required- Maintain quality in fast-paced work environment.Qualifications:Ability to reach over and around objects to lift, move,or place objects or materials. Ability to lift to 50 pounds frequently. Abilityto occasionally lift objects weighing over 60 with assistance. Ability to seein order to perform welding function, read drawing and instructions, and placematerials where needed. Some positions require the ability to work on raisedplatforms, climb stairs or ladders, or climb off equipment or ladders. Abilityto stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, reachabove shoulder height, and reach below shoulder height. Ability to handle,place, manipulate, operate, stack, and connect equipment and materials throughfine and basic hand skills. Ability to use hands and fingers repetitively tograsp and hold up to 10 pounds for up to 20 minutes. Ability to verbally communicatewith coworkers and supervisors in a safe and productive manner. Ability to workextended shifts to meet business demands. Ability to pass a preemployment drugscreen.
