POSITION SUMMARYThe Site Superintendent is a non-exempt employee that serves as the on-site supervisor and construction manager, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the construction of building thermal projects.i This position is responsible for managing the on-site safety program for a project including all required safety paperwork and perform QA/QC spot checks.i The Site Superintendent will assist in coordinating complimentary work by other subcontractors such as electricians, plumbers, and ironworkers.i This employee will be classified as a temporary full-time employee for the duration of a specified project.iiiiiiiiiiiii ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrepare daily reports, project meeting logs, schedule(s), photos, change orders, drawings, punch list, and project-related paperwork in a cloud-based project management systemManage the work in progress to ensure that it conforms to design specifications and industry standards Manages workflow to ensure construction schedules are meti Establish quality standards, details and procedures for installation of insulated metal panels, vapor barriers, trim, doors and other tasks as necessarySupervises contractors to ensure they are being efficient, productive, and working safely to meet all project deadlinesConducts safety meetings with contractors as directed by the Safety Department and report all meetings in Procore under Forms tabEvaluates projects for partial invoicing to ensure they align with percentage of project completionPrepare and conducts meetings and outlines goals and plans for contractorsMaintain project documentation and reportingEnsure all work is completed in accordance with the clientis construction standards, processes, and procedures. Reporting any accidents or incidents to appropriate personnel immediatelyMaintain company security in all areas i vehicles, company property, office, trailers, job sitesResponsible for making sure doors, gates, toolboxes, trailers, and vehicles are locked and alarms are set where availableMaintain and enforce good housekeeping protocols for contractorsiproperty, equipment, office, job site, and any storage areas (Responsible for following and enforcing all protocol during special circumstances, i.e. COVID-19)Responsible for maintaining Company issued phone, iPad and/or computer and ensure compliance with data usage and stay within the company shared data plan on devicesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESFamiliarity with computers/field tablets or similar programs will be necessarySchedules and timelines change frequently as issues arise in the course of construction, therefore the ability to problem solve on the fly will be necessaryPrior leadership experience in a similar roleExcellent verbal communication skills with an emphasis on employee training and developmentMust have the necessary physical stamina to be able to work for extended hours or workdaysKnowledge of the principals of cold storage construction, including freezer and cooler construction details, vapor barriers, as well as installation of cold storage doors and underfloor insulation is a plusMust be safety minded and dedicated to achieving and an accident-free work environment by following and encouraging safe working practices OTHER QUALIFICATIONSDegree in Construction Management preferred, equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered10-15 years of ground-up construction commercial/industrial experience requiredCold storage experience preferredAuthorized to work in the United StatesBilingual is preferred, but not required
