We also have facilities in Tucson, Arizona and Aiken, South Carolina. We are presently licensed to provide engineering within the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and South Carolina. Job Summary: Ironworkers are responsible for performing work in connection with field fabrication and/or make, weld, and cut structural metal in fabricating shops, and/or erection, installation, removal, repairing of older infrastructure, wrecking and dismantling of structural, architectural and reinforcing iron and steel, ornamental lead, bronze, brass, copper and aluminum, and plastics or other materials when used in place thereof with the highest priority to the safety and health of other employees, the public and the environment. Essential Responsibilities/Duties: *Responsible for providing input to planning which order to fit the steelwork together following plans drawn up by engineers. Ability to read blueprints. *Lifting and guiding components into position with cranes. *Lining up and leveling steelwork before securing it in place by bolting or welding methods. *Working from mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), cherry pickers or scissor lifts to gain safe access to sections off the ground. *Working on the structure itself at heights beyond the reach of MEWPs. *Laying down metal decking, and fixing safety netting and edge rails as you build up the structure. *Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and/or levels. *Knowledge of safety rules and regulations. Required Qualifications: *At least 1-2 years’ experience in fabrication, welding or steel erection *Ability to operate tools, machinery, and vehicles safely *Ability to read, write and comprehend both verbal communications and written directions *Ability to travel to field sites when necessary *Must pass an employment record, criminal background check and a drug screen (drug and alcohol free workplace) *Must have a valid drivers’ license and possess a clean driving record Preferred Qualifications *Applicable welding certifications Key Success Attributes: *Strong attention to detail *Team Player *Positive attitude that contributes to a positive work environment *Maintain a quick and steady pace throughout your work shift *Highly motivated self-starter with ability to perform well with varying degrees of supervision Core Competencies: *Consistency and Reliability *Communication *Teamwork *Responsibility *Problem solving Physical Requi
