As Sourcing Business Controller, you support the Fiskars US sourcing team with financial data, analyses and recommendations, enabling fact based decision making and being a proactive business partner to the sourcing managers and specialists. Driving a sustainable financial agenda, you ensure that calculation of the standard cost for sourced finished goods is be done in a consistent and accurate manner, keep track of the standard cost development and provide estimates for new products as well as monitor commodity costs and supplier trends. Monthly/quarterly reporting and year end closing is part of your tasks, done in line with Fiskars guidelines and in cooperation with the other supply chain finance team members. You will also take part in local and global development initiatives within Fiskars Supply Chain Finance community. In this role you need to be able to balance competing priorities, coordinate work of others over whom you have no direct authority, exercise independent judgment, gain cooperation and consensus through discussion, persuasion, and influence others to work together towards common goals. You see the big picture but also do not lose attention for detail. Major Activities and Responsibilities: Drive sourcing operations monthly reporting and forecast updates, create easy to use forecast models, and develop reports that accurately reflects the financial performance of the business. As business partner, liaise closely and meet with sourcing management to share results and insights. Track and analyze commodity costs and supplier trends Coordinate sourcing operations departmental costs and provide guidance to management on costing trends that will impact future financial performance. Establish sourced overhead rates. Develop standard cost estimates for new products and ensure accurate standard cost and item attribute set up for new products Work with the finance team to complete month end close for supply chain finance, making sure all deadlines are met. Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts that impact operations. Prepare expense reviews, research variances, and create reports that accurately reflects period activity.
