Job Description

Tel Net Systems Inc. located in the beautiful state of Montana is looking for energetic and experienced technicians to assist with our many customers and projects that cover the entire state. Our operations headquarters is located in Billings Montana of which a large majority of our projects are located with-in and or around. With roughly 25-50% of the time for traveling would be requested for Montana and the surrounding States. We are one of the largest Telecommunications contractors in the area and have a wide variety of customers and projects that include from the large corporations to the small locally owned businesses. Tel Net Systems Inc. was established in 1990 and is growing continually over the years to what we feel is from the high level of customer satisfaction and follow through for our customers needs and time frames. It is highly preferred to have any level of BICSI certification/certifications. Coordinates and prepares communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice, data, & security telecommunications equipment as well as fiber optic, ethernet, & security cabling. Plans network cabling installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assessing installation site; and preparing an installation diagram. Then to complete full installation of cabling and any other components specified by the defined project. Installs voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, cable trays, and alarm/access control/CCTV; building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with both General and subcontractors. Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems. Documents all cabling by labeling and creating as-builts for cabling, routing equipment, configuration diagrams and specifications. Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing network back-up procedures, and updating documentation. Maintains positive customer experiences while listening to the specifics that the customer is requesting and then following through upon the specific requests to resolving concerns and answering questions. Maintains a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Completing all appropriate project paperwork, pictures, and all associated documentation in a timely manner.
